MIKOŁAJ TARKOWSKI
Vilnius Attorneys Association 1918-1939
patronage
The work is an important contribution to the research on the activities of the self-government of the Bar of the Second Republic of Poland and the conditions of practising the profession of a barrister at that time. Its multifaceted character should be emphasised. The author’s findings will undoubtedly be of interest to regional historians as they considerably broaden our knowledge on the social, economic and political history as well as cultural life and scholarly activity in the Vilnius region in the years 1918-1939. The author’s personal commitment and passion (in the positive sense of the word) in discovering new, hitherto unknown data on the Vilnius Bar between the wars can be noticed.
